For Ontario workplaces with 20 or more employees, Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) Certification is a legal requirement under the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Our two-part program gives committee members the knowledge and tools to build a safer workplace.

Certification Pathway
Part 2 must be completed within 12 months of completing Part 1.
PART ONE – ONLINE LEARNING
JHSC Certification – Part 1
The first step toward JHSC compliance. Completed entirely online at your own pace, this course gives committee members the foundational knowledge to support and promote workplace safety.

PART TWO – DISTANCE LEARNING
JHSC Certification – Part 2
The advanced step toward full certification. This two-day live online course builds on Part 1 with industry-specific hazard assessments and practical tools to address real workplace risks.
Prerequisite
Joint Health and Safety Certificate Part 1 must be completed within the past 12 months. If more than 12 months have passed, Part 1 must be retaken.

Refresher Required
Refresher training is required every 3 years to maintain full JHSC certification.
