First Aid Blended Training

Combination of Online & Face to Face

Blended learning is a combination of online training with face-to-face instruction. The Blended Training Program allows for a portion of the course content to be conveyed to participants outside of the classroom through online training. This allows for the in-class component to concentrate on skill development and the application of theory. In this format the Standard First Aid course can be completed with approximately 6 hours of self paced online training followed by the 1 day of in-class training. The Online Modules must be completed prior to the in-class portion.

Classically, the Standard First Aid Training Course is a 2 day (in class) training course, this Blended Training allows a level of flexibility for participants and organizations to reduce the amount of time needed in class.

Blended Course Process

Online access will be delivered by email with a link to the course content from the Red Cross. The link will be supplied 1-2 business days after your registration. Please note you cannot complete the online portion more than 30 days before your in-class date, in some cases you may be required to re-take the online course (administrative fees may apply).

The online portion of the training (~ 6 hours) must be completed prior to your in-class date.

If a participant has not completed the online training prior to the class start date the participant will not be eligible to attend the in-class session. There will be no refunds or transfers for any failure to complete the online portion prior to the course date. On completion of a booking all sales are considered final once the online access has been issued to the participant(s).

Any changes or rescheduling to an existing booking must occur more than 7 days prior to the course start date.

Re-scheduling of blended training courses are subject to an administrative fee of $25.00 + HST.

Participants must bring either a printed copy or digital copy (PDF, etc.) of the online completion certificate to the in-class session for the instructor to verify.
