Contracted First Aid and CPR Instructor
We are looking for passionate and motivated instructors throughout Ontario to facilitate First Aid and CPR courses on behalf of First Aid 4U Inc. We hire instructors on contract positions to teach at First Aid 4U training facilities, as well as on-site at local organizations (local travel required).

Position Requirements
- Certified Canadian Red Cross Instructor
- Reliable form of transportation
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong independent work ethic
- Flexible work hours (preferred)
Position Responsibilities
- Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to students;
- Instruct students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations;
- Observe students to determine qualifications, limitations, abilities, interests, and other individual characteristics;
- Monitor students’ performance to make suggestions for improvement and to ensure that they satisfy course standards, training requirements, and objectives;
- Clean and maintain the training facility, as well as all training aids using proper technique as laid out by the Canadian Red Cross

I attended the emergency first aid/ cpr course at 8300 woodbine, markham today. I have been to other first aid courses a few years back but never benefited like this one. The instructor Arash was very knowledgeable in the medical field and was able to explain things very detailed and in a very interesting way . I definitely recommend people to come here to complete their courses for their benefit.

I find both instructors went above and beyond Teaching us things even pass The first aid course, which was absolutely amazing. It was amazing experience and when those two instructors teach you, there’s no questions unanswered. They really make sure you learn and understand everything with care and concern. I recommend those two for everything.

Food for thought- I think it would be a great help to all if you include the small first aid kit in the course for a few bucks more and maybe add aspirin in it as it saves lives.

2day course was very information dense.. but thanks to the Great instructor, and his awesome real life experiences and examples, truly exemplifies the necessity of having the skill, knowledge and ability to respond effectively in an emergency situation. It s a very empowering course. A necessity really.

This training today with "Sam" at the Burlington site was so fabulous that I didn't want it to end. I learned so much, and "Sam" challenged us and asked so many wonderful questions. He also had a great sense of humour. I wish more instructors were like him.

The Standard First Aid & CPR level C refresher I completed at 700 Industrial Avenue was absolutely excellent. I have enrolled in a large number of similar courses over the years and many have been delivered in a dry, canned, and methodical manner. This course, though, was anything but. Longtime instructor David Smith adopted the perfect blend of detailed information, humour, personal experiences, and practical application hints, and I came away feeling my day had been exceptionally well spent.

We had what felt like a comprehensive and insightful class on CPR. Our wonderful instructor, Dave, ensured we learned the importance of giving aid and identifying when and what to do in different situations.
David was absolutely amazing! Made it fun and he’s very knowledgeable.
Overall it was a wonderful experience. The instructor was friendly and knowledgeable, one suggestion please add a microwave at 700 industrial avenue location that will be very helpful.

First of all, I am very lucky to have received first aid training there because the instructor was a wonderfully knowledgeable person, his jokes were funny and he conveyed the training in an academic way. As a Muslim, we were incredibly pleased with the Qibla direction sign he made there and the fact that he said you can pray.

Detailed and practical First Aid training with experienced facilitator (David). The physical training compliment the online training and gave me the confident to be identified as First Aider.
Hawley is an excellent teacher. His knowledge base is solid in material and plenty of real life stories to pass on of the dangers of life and how quickly an emergency happens.

Outstanding instructor, Hawley Lepine. After attending first aid courses many times over the years, this was the first time when I (and everyone else attending the course) was riveted and you could hear a pin drop when the instructor spoke. He underscored important points in the course by peppering it with vivid real life suspenseful first aid stories, and a healthy dose of humour. Students were coached closely in the practical portion of the course to ensure they were successful. for e.g. application of CPR & AED, as well as splints and slings. Highly recommend this instructor and hope he is available when I am required to take my refresher.

I completed the standard first aid/ car and AED training at the Mississauga facility, and it was a wonderful experience. Trainer made sure everyone was following the entire time, and although the material to cover was a lot, he made it enjoyable. would highly recommend.

Instructor David is amazing and makes learning the material fun. He makes the most of all the material he has to teach, he involves the whole class, asks for volunteers and what I liked the most is on the second day (if you take the two day in class) if that he has a jeopardy like game that you get to practice what you learnt the previous day. This really helped for the test at the end of day two. Thank you David for a surprisingly fun two days of relearning CPR/FIRST AID.

The class was intensive. The instructor knows his game very well. However, I would like to suggest, being a professional teacher myself, that intermittent short breaks would be helpful for students/participants to refresh a bit. I felt, like other students very tired at a point and some other participants expressed the same sentiments. This is a humble suggestion though.

Excellent experience, the instructor, Smitty, was fantastic. He was not dry, I did not fall asleep during the training. He is very engaging and you could tell he had experience and brought this out wonderfully through his training and coaching.

I would highly recommend First Aid 4U for any of your First Aid training needs. I completed my Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C through First Aid 4U, a Canadian Red Cross training partner. Our instructor, Hawley, was very personable, and easy to follow. He often gave examples of real-life scenarios that he’s found himself in, or situations in which our training could play out in the real world. Our class was really interactive. I took First Aid & CPR/AED Level C many years ago, around 2010, and aside from the gap in time/evolving knowledge, I learned more about the same topics now than I did back then! Awesome work, First Aid 4U!

I had a great time during the standard CPR training. I was pleased with the hands on experience too.
Our instructor Ibrahim, Eyad in the London location was good. He took his time to explain everything. He made it easy to learn about First Aid and CPR.

It has been very beneficial to me. I have Learned plenty of things that will help me in my everyday life learning what to do when people need first aid assistance whether in workplaces. Or elsewhere learning how to properly provide first aid in many ways. The instructor has been very lucid and knowledgeable to have made every body lock in to get himself understood by trainees.
WOW!! So worth the money, time and effort!! I had David Smith aka “Smitty” as my instructor at Ottawa East and he made a content heavy 8 hour day so much more exciting, engaging and hands on!! Fantastic training from Rayan Afsar! It was my second time having a class with this trainer and it was great both times. Rayan is very informative while also connecting with anecdotes and jokes to keep the class engaged. I left the class with no unanswered questions, feeling very confident in my abilities to provide care in an emergency situation.

Mageb, who taught us in Vaughan, in Apr. 2023, did a great job teaching us. Being a trained physician in his home country came through by exhibiting his professional knowledge. However, he also did it in a light, almost entertaining manner which made the educational experience less cumbersome.
Just completed a 2 day course with Smitty........ awesome experience. David is an amazing instructor and I'm so thankful for the knowledge and experiences that he shared with all of us. I hope to never use the knowledge I've gained over the last couple days but if the day does come I know what needs to be done and have to confidence to do it.

Ashraf was a great instructor who was serious yet personable in his delivery of the practical component of my blended First-Aid/CPR/AED course. I ended up needing to put my training to use just days after having completed the course and was able to act quickly and effectively to assist an injured colleague.
While the entities aren't directly related, my only complaint about the program has been the finicky/temperamental Red Cross website. Accessing certifications, course information and profile details has been - at best - annoying.

I have been taking first aid courses at different places in Ottawa over the past 12 years and by far First Aid 4 U is the best. The teaching technique, and the way the information is given makes the course really enjoyable. The stories and real life experience shared during the course helped me retain most of the information taught. A big thank you to Hauley who is by far the best instructor I've ever had the pleasure to meet and learn from. I will be back for sure.

The Brampton instructor is the best. He makes learning fun and easy. If you listen to the instructor (which is his #1 rule) you will pass with flying colours. Thank you Aurangzeb you were GREAT!

An amazing experience. These instructors really know medical knowledge. I met a firefighter and a nurse through my training courses.
In class portion:
- Good instructor.
- It would be better if the TV was the appropriate size to see the presentation, or if used a projector allowing a wide screen.

- Well designed.
- It would be better if it provide a summary of main points for each chapter allowing the student a quick refresh about them.

The course and instructor were good. After the course was completed I’ve started to receive emails stating that they hadn’t received my payment. I contacted them, clarified that they had my payment, and received by email, a copy of the invoice indicating that it was paid in full. Since, I receive an email monthly stating I still haven’t paid, each to which I reply with the receipt, marked “paid”, attached. It is impossible to speak with a person when you call in. It goes to voicemail every time. Disorganized, and to be honest, the emails are rude, stating how it’s problematic that I haven’t paid them, and that it’s an urgent matter. If I had rated immediately after taking the course, it would have been 4-5 stars, but based on the nonsense that has followed, I just can’t. Sorry everyone….get it together.
