Course Description

This upgrade course is designed for current Canadian Red Cross First Aid Instructors who want to expand their certification to teach Basic Life Support (BLS) courses. The program focuses on advanced resuscitation skills, high-performance team CPR, and instructional techniques specific to healthcare and professional responder audiences. Instructor Candidates will complete a condensed course format, following the Canadian Red Cross Instructor Development Pathway.

Pre-requisite:
Current Canadian Red Cross First Aid Instructor certification in good standing (must be valid through the end of the course selected).

Course Fees: $399+hst

Course Components:

• Skills Check ~4 hours in-class. The same day of the skills check we will offer an upgrade course for those who require Airway Management and Oxygen Therapy (3-4 hours) to ensure you have all certificate before the course begins.
• Discipline Specific Instructor Training: 2 Days In-class (16 hours),
• Teaching Experience: Teach a minimum of 1 BLS course alongside a TES Instructor.
