Red Cross Standard First Aid & CPR Course
Standard First Aid – 16 Hours of Class Time
This is a comprehensive two-day first aid certification course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Certification is valid for 3 years.
The course includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines from the Canadian Red Cross and meets federal and a variety of provincial regulations for Standard First Aid and CPR. First Aid 4U exceeds our competitors’ standards by including injury prevention content. Participants will also learn how (and be certified) to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
This course includes First Aid & CPR Guidelines 2011, is recognized by the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) and meets Ontario Health & Safety (OHS) regulations for Basic First Aid. All participants will receive the Canadian Red Cross First Aid & CPR Manual and Certification card.

Outstanding instructor, Hawley Lepine. After attending first aid courses many times over the years, this was the first time when I (and everyone else attending the course) was riveted and you could hear a pin drop when the instructor spoke. He underscored important points in the course by peppering it with vivid real life suspenseful first aid stories, and a healthy dose of humour. Students were coached closely in the practical portion of the course to ensure they were successful. for e.g. application of CPR & AED, as well as splints and slings. Highly recommend this instructor and hope he is available when I am required to take my refresher.

I completed the standard first aid/ car and AED training at the Mississauga facility, and it was a wonderful experience. Trainer made sure everyone was following the entire time, and although the material to cover was a lot, he made it enjoyable. would highly recommend.

Instructor David is amazing and makes learning the material fun. He makes the most of all the material he has to teach, he involves the whole class, asks for volunteers and what I liked the most is on the second day (if you take the two day in class) if that he has a jeopardy like game that you get to practice what you learnt the previous day. This really helped for the test at the end of day two. Thank you David for a surprisingly fun two days of relearning CPR/FIRST AID.

The class was intensive. The instructor knows his game very well. However, I would like to suggest, being a professional teacher myself, that intermittent short breaks would be helpful for students/participants to refresh a bit. I felt, like other students very tired at a point and some other participants expressed the same sentiments. This is a humble suggestion though.Thank you.

Our instructor, Hawley, was very personable, and easy to follow. He often gave examples of real-life scenarios that he’s found himself in, or situations in which our training could play out in the real world. Our class was really interactive. I took First Aid & CPR/AED Level C many years ago, around 2010, and aside from the gap in time/evolving knowledge, I learned more about the same topics now than I did back then! Awesome work, First Aid 4U!

Fantastic training from Rayan Afsar! It was my second time having a class with this trainer and it was great both times. Mageb, who taught us in Vaughan, in Apr. 2023, did a great job teaching us. Being a trained physician in his home country came through by exhibiting his professional knowledge. However, he also did it in a light, almost entertaining manner which made the educational experience less cumbersome.

Ashraf was a great instructor who was serious yet personable in his delivery of the practical component of my blended First-Aid/CPR/AED course. I ended up needing to put my training to use just days after having completed the course and was able to act quickly and effectively to assist an injured colleague.While the entities aren't directly related, my only complaint about the program has been the finicky/temperamental Red Cross website. Accessing certifications, course information and profile details has been - at best - annoying.

David Smith is the instructor that made taking this course as enjoyable as it was. Combining techniques with real world experiences and comprehensive demonstrations really makes you understand the gravity of how helpful these practices are on the field.

Such an amazing experience. Had so much fun and learned a lot of valuable information that could help me help someone in the future. I am definitely more confident now to walk up to someone and help them. Our instructor Mr. Hawley was amazing and very helpful and we learned a lot from his past stories and experiences.
The Brampton instructor is the best. He makes learning fun and easy. If you listen to the instructor (which is his #1 rule) you will pass with flying colours. Thank you Aurangzeb you were GREAT!My only issues are they need to invest in a Bluetooth speaker as the laptop volume isn't loud enough and a bigger tv would be nice.
The First Aid Course was amazing! The instructor was great and took the time to make sure everyone understood and was confident about the material. Highly recommend
An amazing experience. These instructors really know medical knowledge. I met a firefighter and a nurse through my training courses.
In class portion:- Good instructor.- It would be better if the TV was the appropriate size to see the presentation, or if used a projector allowing a wide screen.Online portion:- Well designed.- It would be better if it provide a summary of main points for each chapter allowing the student a quick refresh about them.
The course and instructor were good. After the course was completed I’ve started to receive emails stating that they hadn’t received my payment. I contacted them, clarified that they had my payment, and received by email, a copy of the invoice indicating that it was paid in full. Since, I receive an email monthly stating I still haven’t paid, each to which I reply with the receipt, marked “paid”, attached. It is impossible to speak with a person when you call in. It goes to voicemail every time. Disorganized, and to be honest, the emails are rude, stating how it’s problematic that I haven’t paid them, and that it’s an urgent matter. If I had rated immediately after taking the course, it would have been 4-5 stars, but based on the nonsense that has followed, I just can’t. Sorry everyone….get it together.
