How To Validate A Certificate
You can easily confirm the legitimacy and status of a participant’s certification in just a few steps:
Visit the Canadian Red Cross Certificate Validation Portal
Enter the participant’s Last Name and Certificate ID Number
- Whether the certificate was issued by the Canadian Red Cross
- If it was issued to the correct person
- That it’s currently valid (or expired)

Certificate Types and What They Cover

Standard First Aid & CPR Level C/AED
The course includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines from the Canadian Red Cross and meets federal and a variety of provincial regulations for Standard First Aid and CPR. Participants are also certified to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

CPR level C Covers all aspects of CPR skills and theory for adults, children, and infants.
This certificate is valid for 3 years.
Certification can be renewed once. All recertified certificates cannot be renewed.
Emergency First Aid & CPR level C/AED
Our Emergency First Aid (EFA) courses are available in both traditional and blended formats. These courses are designed to equip your employees with the most essential rapid response skills for emergency situations, ensuring they’re prepared to act swiftly and effectively when every second counts.

- Airway emergencies
- Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- CPR level C
Participants are also certified to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
This certificate is valid for 3 years.
Basic Life Support/HCP
Participants would be trained in: Glove removal, providing primary assessment, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Airway Obstruction, Assisted Ventilation, Basic Life Support special considerations and High performance CPR.
This certificate is valid for 1 year.
